Digital Merchandiser Apprentice 

Mediq UK are a supplier of healthcare consumables, healthcare equipment, cleaning, and hygiene products, as well as healthcare devices to hospitals, care homes, and other facilities serving the healthcare sector in the UK.

Mediq has ambitious plans to grow its digital presence and online sales. As part of this journey, we are looking for an Apprentice Digital Merchandiser to join our growing digital team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone starting their career who enjoys working with data, has a keen eye for detail, and takes pride in accuracy and organisation. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving our online product information, helping to deliver a seamless, reliable, and customer-focused online experience.

Your work will directly support product visibility, customer experience, and online sales performance.

You will join at a pivotal time as we upgrade our ecommerce platform, CRM, and digital marketing capabilities to support the next phase of Mediq’s growth.

This is an office based role, working from our Mediq UK site in Castle Donington.

What you’ll be doing

This is a data-focused role where accuracy, consistency, and structure are essential to delivering a high-quality online customer experience.

You will:

  • Input, update, and maintain product data across our ecommerce systems
  • Ensure product information is accurate, consistent, and well-structured (descriptions, images, categories, filters)
  • Organise and manage large volumes of product data with strong attention to detail
  • Support product categorisation and merchandising to improve search, navigation, and product discovery
  • Assist with uploading and scheduling website content, including product launches and promotions
  • Maintain website visuals such as banners and basic imagery updates
  • Work with internal teams to identify and resolve data or content issues quickly
  • Support reporting and data checks to maintain high data quality standards

 

About you

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and eager to learn:

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in accuracy
  • Good written English and grammar, with the ability to create clear, accurate, and customer-friendly product content
  • Comfortable working with data and repetitive tasks
  • Organised and able to manage and prioritise workload effectively
  • A methodical and structured approach to tasks
  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Curious and keen to learn about ecommerce and digital marketing
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively
  • A customer-first mindset and an interest in ecommerce, digital merchandising, or online retail

Salary - £25,000

Duration: 18 Months

Start Date: September 2026

As part of the recruitment and selection process, we will be holding an assessment for our apprentice positions at our headquarters in Castle Donington on Tuesday 28th April.
