Your Role as Head of Group FP&A
As the right hand to the Director Group Finance & Control, you’ll lead the Group FP&A team (5 FTE) to deliver exceptional insights and support decision-making at the highest levels. You’ll oversee the Group planning & control cycle, drive continuous improvement, and provide strategic advice to senior leaders.
Key area’s of focus:
• Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire the FP&A team, ensuring professional growth and excellent performance.
• Strategic Insights: Deliver actionable analysis that highlights risks and opportunities for the Group Executive Committee.
• Innovation: Spearhead the digital transformation of the finance function, introducing tools like Data Analytics, BI platforms, and Automated Reporting.
• Continuous Improvement: Simplify and enhance FP&A processes, fostering collaboration across countries to share best practices.
• Private Equity Collaboration: Serve as a key liaison for our Private Equity shareholder, aligning on financial strategy and reporting.
• Sustainability Focus: Support the implementation of ESG initiatives at a group level.
In this role, you’ll take the lead on projects such as improving price and margin insights, boosting forecasting accuracy, and optimizing cash flow. These initiatives will have a tangible impact on Mediq’s growth and operational excellence.
What we are looking for
You’re a seasoned finance leader with a strong track record in international settings. You bring:
• Educational Background: A university degree in economics or business administration, with a Post-Master's in Controlling (RC) preferred.
• Proven Experience: Over 7–10 years in senior finance roles, including FP&A leadership.
• Transformation Expertise: Experience driving finance function transformations and implementing digital roadmaps.
• Analytical Savvy: Familiarity with tools like Cognos Controller, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Leadership Skills: Strong team management capabilities to lead a high-performing team.
• Global Perspective: Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus) and experience in multi-country organizations.
• Private Equity Know-How: Previous exposure to private equity settings is a significant advantage.
