The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the full bookkeeping and accounting processes for the local Lithuanian entity, including the analysis and control of accounting data.

 

Key Responsibilities - What are you going to do?

 

  • Oversee and manage legal compliance processes, including but not limited to VAT, corporate tax, and statistical reporting.
  • Supervise the day-to-day management of accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Report profit and loss (P&L), balance sheet (BS), and related forms to the Group via the Cognos consolidation tool.
  • Prepare and monitor intercompany recharges.
  • Process weekly payments through online banking.
  • Ensure timely accounting and month-end, year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare accurate and timely statutory financial statements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for regular financial audits, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Respond to various reporting requests related to financial data and budgets.
  • Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making.
  • Provide recommendations to optimize company accounting and financial management processes, contributing to the development of accounting and related operations.

 

 Qualifications and Skills - What is your background?

 

  • Degree in Finance and/or Accounting.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in accounting.
  • Experience in a complex and international business environment is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Lithuanian accounting standards and IFRS.
  • Knowledgeable about the legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania regulating accounting, taxes, and company activities.
  • Advanced analytical skills with a proven track record in financial reporting.
  • Proficient in English and Lithuanian, both written and spoken.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Possess a can-do attitude with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Committed to delivering high-quality work and continuous improvement.

Monthly Salary:

 

Monthly base salary for this position is from 3,000 to 3,500 EUR gross. The final offer will depend on your qualifications, competencies, and professional experience.
