About the Role

 

Mediq Suomi Oy is seeking an experienced and driven Strategic Tender Lead to join our Commercial Operations team in the Nordics region. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and leading strategic tender activities, driving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring the timely and successful submission of tender bids ensuring high win rate. You will lead high profile tenders during the entire process from shaping phase to the implementation and play a key role in achieving strategic goals, enhancing margin optimization, and ensuring the success of our tender submissions across the Nordics.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire tender bid process and cross-functional project Management for strategic and high impact tenders
  • Define bidding strategies and ensure strong commercial preparation and submission of tender bids on time
  • Foster strong followership within functional teams by providing guidance and ensuring timely resources delivering high output from each function growing our changes to win
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts, keeping teams on track throughout the tender process
  • Ensure data-driven actions and input from key stakeholders internally and externally
  • Supervise and develop business cases supporting tender bids, with a focus on identifying risks (closely operating together with sales and analytic leads)
  • Ensure the error-free submission of tender documents and timely delivery
  • Update and maintain the tender pipeline for the next 36 months, including strategy, business cases, and win/loss analysis
  • Collaborate with Sales and key functions to ensure strategic alignment and profitability
  • Follow-up on business cases, identifying deviations and corrective actions

 

KPI and Success Criteria:

  • Improve tender win rate and sales performance in Finland and rest of Nordics 
  • Margin optimization to meet budgeted GP and improvements
  • Bid and process improvement in areas like pipeline management, tender shaping, submission, and integration, as well run post bid learnings sessions 
  • Successful cross-functional collaboration, particularly in PM and sourcing

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong analytical capabilities, with a focus on numbers, business processes, and commercial insight
  • Proven experience in tender bid and project management and process optimization across commercial organizations
  • Excellent commercial leadership and motivational skills with a winning mentality
  • Ability to drive and evaluate complex analysis and business cases
  • Hands-on approach with strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience with the tender process is a plus, however project management skills most important
  • Strong change management and communication skills
  • Results-oriented, structured, and energetic work ethic
  • Fluent in English and the local language (Finnish)

 

Depending on the candidate profile, the role may include team management of 3 Strategic Tender Leads across Nordics.
