Strategic Tender Lead – Finland

 

As Strategic Tender Lead at Mediq, you will shape and lead some of our most critical commercial tender bids in Finland. Your Mission

 

You will lead strategic tenders end-to-end in close collaboration with sales, from early commercial shaping through submission and implementation. This means that you will drive winning bid strategies for medium to large, high-value opportunities, balancing competitiveness with sustainable profitability. The role requires strong business acumen, precision, pace, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.  

 

Key Responsibilities - What will you do?

 

  • Analyze customer tender evaluation models, pricing structures, and competitive landscapes.
  • Via bid kick off meetings, deliver strong commercial bids together with key functions
  • Provide analytical insights to guide and decide on winning bid strategy, pricing, profitability assessments, and market evaluations.
  • Motivate and cross‑functional stakeholders, including Sales, Sourcing, and Product Management
  • Lead the bid process by integrating key functions delivering winning bids, with most possible profitability, minimal risks and highest customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and oversee tender and contract opportunities, bid strategies, and contract management with clear milestones and stakeholder involvement from the early pre-tender stages to the customer implementation.
  • Review commercial and product documents to ensure error‑free submissions.
  • Support price renegotiation cycles through preparation of relevant materials.
  • Lead post‑bid win/loss reviews and identify continuous improvement opportunities including contract performance, price realization, and profitability.

 

What You Bring

 

  • Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related fields.
  • 3–4 years of experience in tender bid management, tender offering, sales or pricing, or similar roles ideally within a tender‑driven industry.
  • Strong experience with tender pricing and contract negotiations.
  • Ability to assess, amend, and negotiate contractual terms.
  • Advanced analytical skills in business and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken.
