Interim eCommerce & CRM Transition Specialist

We are recruiting for an Interim eCommerce & CRM Transition Specialist to lead the data, customer and operational migration of recently acquired eCommerce business into Mediq’s digital ecosystem.
This role is a 6 month fixed term contract, working from our UK HQ in Castle Donington.
The role combines strategic insight with hands-on delivery, bridging technical, operational, and commercial functions to enable Mediq’s next phase of digital maturity. Following the eCommerce business transition, the Specialist will support the implementation of Cloud-native CRM and automation suite CRM, embedding connected data, automation, and customer lifecycle visibility across the business.
Responsibilities:
eCommerce Data & Operations Migration
- Lead the end-to-end migration of customer data, product catalogues, and operational workflows from into Mediq systems.
- Map, align, and validate key operational touchpoints: pricing, online experience, order flow, fulfilment, account structures, and customer permissions.
- Coordinate between IT, Operations, Marketing, and Customer Contact Centre to ensure system readiness and continuity of trade.
- Manage data integrity checks across ERP, PIM, and eCommerce platform.
- Own user acceptance testing (UAT), issue resolution, and post-migration stabilisation.
- Translate technical dependencies into clear operational actions and communications for internal teams.
- Develop playbooks, SOPs, and documentation to embed consistent eCommerce processes.
CRM and automation suite Implementation
- Support business scoping, configuration, and rollout of CRM and automation suite CRM across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Contact Centre functions.
- Define user journeys, data integration points, and reporting structures that align to commercial priorities.
- Shape data governance, automation workflows, and lead management processes.
- Partner with IT and CRM vendor to ensure integrations with eCommerce and ERP platforms are secure, scalable, and compliant.
- Support adoption, training, and continuous improvement support post-launch.
Strategic Insight & Governance
- Act as a connector between business, digital, and operational teams, ensuring short-term delivery aligns with Mediq’s longer-term digital roadmap.
- Identify efficiency opportunities, data optimisation improvements, and automation potential.
- Advise on future-state digital operations model based on learnings from eCommerce migration and CRM rollout.
- Maintain robust documentation, progress reporting, and risk management.
- Support the Head of Marketing in translating project outcomes into commercial and operational benefits.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a eCommerce specialist with proven experience leading eCommerce data or operational migrations in complex B2B environments. It would be great if you have:
- Strong understanding of product data, digital catalogues, and customer onboarding workflows.
- Experience implementing or managing CRM platforms (Cloud-native CRM and automation suite preferred) and integrating with ERP/eCommerce systems.
- Working knowledge/expertise in TrueCommerce Netalogue eCommerce platform and/or HubSpot very beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on project delivery.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, able to simplify technical issues for non-technical audiences.
