About the Role

If you want to gain experience in the General Ledger Accounting team responsible for delivering high-quality financial accounting  across the Benelux and Nordic countries, get involved in developing and strengthening our accounting best practices, and grow your expertise in financial accounting, then this role might be for you.

The General Ledger Intern will support the GL Accounting team in ensuring accurate and timely financial records in alignment with accounting standards and internal controls. The role involves journal entry support, reconciliation activities, and coordination with cross-functional teams to help improve accounting accuracy and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities - What are you going to do?

• Assist in preparing and posting routine journal entries under supervision.
• Ensure entries are properly supported and comply with company policies.
• Support monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Identify discrepancies and help investigate variances.
• Assist with tasks required for monthly close, including updating schedules, verifying supporting data, and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Help maintain close documentation in accordance with internal controls.
• Assist in documenting procedures, improving process flows, and updating instructions.
• Collaborate with the team on Ad-hoc requests.

Qualifications and Skills - What is your background?

• You are studying towards an undergraduate degree (or above) in areas such as Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
• Proficient English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Motivated, adaptable, and enthusiastic about learning and development.
