We are seeking a motivated and proactive Sales Intern to join our commercial team on a 12 month contract based at our UK HQ in Castle Donington. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in sales, business development, and customer engagement within a fast-paced, professional environment. The successful candidate will support the sales organisation with prospecting, market research, administrative tasks, data analysis, and customer interactions, contributing directly to revenue growth initiatives.
Salary - £25,000
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Support: Assist the sales team with day-to-day activities, including preparing proposals, presentations, and customer documentation.
- Lead Generation: Research potential clients, identify new business opportunities, and support outreach campaigns.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate customer and pipeline data in the CRM system, ensuring records are up-to-date.
- Market Research: Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to support strategic planning.
- Customer Engagement: Participate in customer calls and meetings alongside senior sales staff to gain exposure to client-facing interactions.
- Reporting: Support the preparation of sales reports, performance dashboards, and pipeline summaries.
- Event & Campaign Support: Assist in planning and executing sales events, marketing campaigns, and promotional activities.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Operations, and Customer Service to support business initiatives.
What are we looking for?
- Currently studying or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of organisation and attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn
