The Senior Accounts Payable Accountant will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Accounts Payable processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. You will be an integral part of our Finance team and will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain efficient financial operations, managing the administration and reporting for one or more entities, ensuring accurate and timely activation, transfer, depreciation, and revaluation of assets.

Key Responsibilities - What are you going to do?

• Independently manage the end-to-end invoice processing cycle in SAP, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant posting of invoices.
• Perform complex 2-way and 3-way matching (PO, GR, Invoice), proactively investigate discrepancies, and resolve invoice or payment issues in coordination with procurement and receiving teams.
• Act as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external vendors regarding invoice queries, payment status, and issue resolution. Ensure timely and professional communication.
• Take ownership of AP processes, ensuring adherence to internal controls, compliance standards, and company policies.
• Support and coordinate AP-related month-end closing tasks, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to optimize AP processes and workflows. Participate in or lead improvement initiatives, leveraging SAP and automation tools where possible.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the finance team and provide guidance to junior team members or interns as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to internal reporting requirements, audit support, and data analysis related to accounts payable.

Qualifications and Skills - What is your background?

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A relevant professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
• Proven experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance role, preferably in an international or shared service center environment.
• Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles, especially related to the procure-to-pay process.
• Proficiency in SAP is required.
• Good understanding of invoice processing, payment runs, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Additional language skills are an advantage.

Monthly Salary:

Monthly base salary for this position is from 2,550 to 3,188 EUR gross. The final offer will depend on your qualifications, competencies, and professional experience.
