When I joined Mediq as a Key Account Manager, I expected a varied role. What I found was the opportunity to influence how healthcare services are delivered across the UK. Every day is about understanding what our customers need and finding the right way to meet those needs.
Why this role matters?
As a Key Account Manager, you are responsible for creating and executing strategies that make a real difference for our customers. It means looking at the bigger picture of market trends, while also being involved in the details of tenders, contracts and product positioning.
In a typical week I might:
Prepare an account plan that helps a regional hospital trust access improved surgical sets
Work with suppliers on sustainable alternatives that reduce waste in operating theatres
Analyse market data to set competitive pricing and improve profitability
Join colleagues from Sales, Supply Chain and Regulatory Affairs to shape a proposal for a new service contract
Every decision requires balance: delivering strong results for Mediq while ensuring healthcare professionals get solutions that work for them and their patients.
How will your work make an impact here?
If you have experience in key account management, procurement or healthcare sales, this role gives you the chance to take ownership of a portfolio in the UK market. You will work closely with colleagues across functions, and you will see your strategies take shape in hospitals, clinics and community care.
