About the role
Lead accurate reporting and improve how finance works.
At Mediq Business Services Lithuania, you will lead the General Ledger team at both an operational and strategic level. You will be accountable for accounting accuracy, month-end and year-end close delivery, compliance, audit readiness, people development and continuous improvement across all GL activities.
What you will do
- Lead, coach and support the GL team, setting clear quality standards and enabling professional development.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, reconciliations and legal entity reporting, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end close timetables and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and other accounting activities.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, company accounting policies, reporting requirements and the internal control framework.
- Resolve complex accounting and reporting issues by working proactively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor SLA’s and KPI’s, address deviations and mitigate risks that may affect financial accuracy or reporting timelines.
- Drive process standardization, automation and continuous improvement across GL operations.
- Support audits, finance transformation initiatives and the implementation of better systems and practices across the GBS organisation.
What you bring
You combine strong technical accounting knowledge with confident people leadership. You are comfortable owning critical reporting cycles, making sound decisions and helping others perform at their best.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
- At least 5 years of accounting experience, including financial statements and tax reporting, and minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Experience with ERP systems and accounting software; IFS experience is preferred.
- Solid knowledge of tax regulations, statutory reporting, internal controls, audit processes and financial compliance.
- Strong Excel and financial data analysis skills.
- Proficient business English, both written and spoken.
- Cognos reporting knowledge is an advantage.
- Experience in a service centre environment is advantageous.

Monthly Salary:
Monthly base salary for this position is from 3,800 to 5,260 Eur gross. The final offer will depend on your qualifications, competencies, and professional experience.
