Manager MDM Northern Europe

The Master Data Manager acts as the main contact point between business operations, Supply Chain,Finance, Commercial, IT, Data Governance, Data Management and the MBSL MDM Operations team for all Master Data Management and Data Governance related topics. The role is responsible for translating business requirements, data ambitions and governance standards into clear day-to-day operational activities for the MDM Operations team based in GBS (Global Business Services). The role ensures that master data standards, processes and data quality controls are understood, embedded and continuously improved across key master data domains, including Customer, Supplier/Vendor, Product and Finance master data. This is an individual contributor role without direct people management responsibility. Success depends on strong communication, stakeholder management, hands-on MDM expertise and the ability to drive continuous improvement across functions and systems.

Key Responsibilities - What you will do?

• Act as the main MDM contact person for Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, Operations, IT, Data Governance and Data Management.
• Collect, clarify and challenge business requirements related to master data and data governance.
• Translate business needs and data ambitions into clear operational activities for the MBSL MDM Operations team.
• Coordinate with the GBS MDM Operations team to ensure day-to-day master data activities are aligned with business priorities and agreed data standards.
• Support the operational execution of Customer, Supplier/Vendor, Product and Finance master data processes.
• Translate governance principles into practical instructions, work processes and priorities for operational execution.
• Support the implementation of Mediq-wide data standards, governance principles and data quality rules.
• Ensure that data standards are translated into practical ways of working for the MDM Operations team.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and standardize MDM processes across functions.
• Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives related to master data quality, process efficiency and operational performance.
• Support data migration, cutover readiness and hypercare activities where master data is impacted.

What You Bring

• Relevant experience in Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Quality, and enterprise data programs.
• Proven track record of establishing Data Governance frameworks from the ground up, including operating models, roles, councils, and policies.
• Strong expertise in ERP-driven data management, particularly within SAP environments, with additional exposure to IFS.
• Experience working across global and multi-country organizations, managing complex stakeholder landscapes.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop MDM teams while driving alignment without formal authority.
• Focus on delivering measurable business value through data governance, process improvement, and data quality initiatives.
• Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and data management best practices to support continuous improvement.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with proficiency in English and experience collaborating in international environments.
