Senior Manager PMO Strategy and Transformation Manager

As the (Senior) Manager strategic project and transformation you play a crucial role in defining and ensuring progress on the strategic transformation and value creation plan and leading critical strategic projects. With a constant eye for impact you lead the formation of the plan with the management team and tracks the progress to business change and financial impact. You constantly have the ‘finger on the pulse’ on progress, and you do this by collaboratively challenge the responsible for each initiative and escalating when needed. In additional to overseeing the Transformation calendar you will lead a few high impact project yourself from origination to execution, including ensuring anchoring in the line organization. All of the above with the aim of ensure the progress of the transformation agenda translates into a concrete and measurable effect on our P&L.

With your strategic background you initiative and/or drive the major strategic initiatives hands-on yourself and also guide owners of other workstream and projects (inside or outside your team) to ensure the best results. Your communication skills and stakeholder management make you respected among the senior team and therefore the natural ‘right-hand person’ to the CEO/CFO.

You are part of the Group Transformation team, led by the Chief Transformation Officer (CTO), a member of the global management team (ExCo). The rest of the Transformation team have backgrounds as former consultants and/or in the project execution and have a high drive for impact and progress.

This role will see a lot of senior leadership attention and work on business critical project, so can for the successful candidate be a great step for an accelerating career within Mediq. To advance in this role, you must thrive in a fast-paced environment with many shifting priorities, where you bring strong rigor and attention to detail on consistency in tracking without creating a ‘tracking for the sake of tracking’ setup. In addition, you will have to learn quickly about the key drivers across a number of business areas.

 

What you will do?

Design and own impact of strategic transformation agenda

  • Ownership of formulation and impact of strategic value creation agenda comprised of key strategic project
  • Act in a "challenge and support" role vis-à-vis the senior executives and their teams to secure the targeted results are achieved
  • Create a rigorous yet simple tracking for transparency and visibility by initiative progress tracking to allow fast decision making and results predictability to keep execution speed high and shorten process from idea to impact
  • Be the ‘spider-in-the-web’ who constantly form your own conviction on current performance across the major transformation initiatives across functions
  • Together with the transformational leaders /PMO’s, ensure initiatives get into implementation, and guide them to fast and pragmatic execution, with clear delivery and reporting on ROI

Lead High-Impact Strategic Initiatives

  • Initiative and/or lead the execution of specific high-profile initiatives and ensuring their proper resourcing, including through external resources when necessary
  • Step into key initiatives which are falling of track if needed,
  • Be the right hand to management team to challenge the organization and define which initiatives really ‘move the needle’ and ensure they get prioritized

Other:

  • Drive strategy progress and other key process including board reporting and some budget elements
  • Providing consistency to internal discussions and Board updates, including driving reporting on key initiatives to the global organization

 

What you will bring with you?

There are several profiles who can be successful in the role, the most common at least have:

  • 3-6 years of experience from a leading consultancy firm or similar which a demonstrated track record, so you have a strong toolbox and strategic mindset
  • 2 and more years of experience from an operational role in an international company from a relevant industry
  • Experience within commercial, product management or operations in addition to your strategy/transformation background is an advantage
  • You are a native Dutch speaker or comfortable working in Dutch, in addition you are English language skills

 

Your skills and competences:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience either line or in complex project setups
  • Demonstrated ability as strategically thinking and strong business acumen to translate abstract challenges into structured, actionable plans
  • Strong analytical skills as a hands-on problem solver with experience in business case development and evaluating strategic initiatives
  • Strong Interpersonal skills and able to bring multifunctional teams together, can ignite drive and leverage talent to boost collaboration in and across teams.
  • Uncompromised drive for better than expected results, with a continuous pro-active approach to deliver the common agreed goals
  • Excellent communication and co-ordination skills. Open and transparent, able to challenge initiative owners in a constructive way with respect to overall feasibility and impact of initiatives
  • Able to create positive relationships with stakeholders, managing expectations and quickly develop a strong “standing” within the organization achieving win-win solutions.
