Transport Administrator – Bristol

We are recruiting for a part time Transport Administrator to join our transport team in Bristol to provide support to the Transport supervisor and manager, to ensure that the operation meets all health and safety and legal compliance regulations. You will liaise with and provide a contact point for the both internal and external customers and able to assist the transport manager with the day to day operations within the transport office.
Monday – Friday – 1pm – 5.30pm
25 hours per week
Salary - £18,040
Responsibilities
- Assist in ensuring all vehicles and drivers conform to relevant health and safety and Road Traffic legislation
- Assist in ensuring that the drivers are appropriately trained and qualified
- Assist in the Planning, and management of the staffing levels to meet operational requirements
- Support the transport Supervisor to deliver team member performance reviews, development and/or succession planning as appropriate.
- Support the transport manager with disciplinary and grievance issues by note taking.
- Support compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and safe system of works (SSOW).
- Support the recruitment, induct, train, and retention of staff to the required number and calibre
- Assist in the preparation of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
- Support in ensuring all training requirements are met and regularly reviewed with driver colleagues.
- Communication with transport Supervisor / site management (daily handover) covering all issues etc.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks that are required by your line manager.
- Provides support and technical development to relevant individuals
- Champions health, safety and the environment
- Regularly review and communicates progress against objectives and adjusts as needed
