Global Master Data Excellence Manager

As Global MDM Excellence Manager, you play a key role in further professionalizing Master Data Management within Mediq. In this role, you ensure that data governance guidelines are translated into clear and practical processes for day-to-day operations. You support teams worldwide in working with master data in a consistent and efficient way, with a strong focus on quality, standardization, and continuous improvement.

You act as an expert and point of contact for complex master data topics and work closely with teams across Data, IT, and various business functions. By improving processes, sharing knowledge, and supporting teams, you contribute to reliable data and efficient business processes within an international environment.

What are you going to do?

  • Translate data governance standards into clear operational processes, work instructions, and playbooks for MDM Operations.
  • Ensure consistent ways of working for managing master data within the product, customer, and supplier domains.
  • Onboard and train MDM Operations teams globally and develop training materials and knowledge documentation.
  • Act as a senior point of contact and escalation point for complex master data issues.
  • Collaborate with Data Governance, IT, ERP teams, and business stakeholders to deliver structural solutions.
  • Support and coach data specialists and data quality roles in applying standards and processes.
  • Identify inefficiencies in processes and initiate improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Contribute to projects such as ERP changes, integrations, or acquisitions where master data plays an important role.

What is your background?

  • A completed master’s degree in IT, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a comparable field.
  • Approximately 8 to 15 years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, or data quality within a complex organization.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and a solid understanding of the role of master data in business processes.
  • Proven experience in improving processes and data quality.
  • Experience working in an international environment with multiple stakeholders and interests.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex issues into practical solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to guide different teams through change.
