Can you design the future of European operations—and lead the transformation that makes it work?
At Mediq, we are looking for a Head of Operations Transformation who combines sharp strategic thinking with the ability to deliver measurable business results. Someone who can structure complex challenges, make clear choices and turn an ambitious strategy into a stronger operating model across 14 countries.
Reporting directly to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and joining the Operations Leadership Team, you will help shape our operations strategy, design our target operating model and own the transformation roadmap from strategic decision to adoption across markets and sites.
Your impact
Mediq’s European Operations organization spans approximately 900 colleagues across supply chain, warehousing, transport, planning and enabling functions. Our next phase requires clear choices about how this organization should operate: what we standardize, where we invest and how we improve cost, working capital and service together.
You will work closely with the Chief Supply Chain Officer and senior leaders to define that future. You connect processes, network design, organizational responsibilities, data and technology into a coherent operating model—and translate it into a practical, sequenced transformation plan.
Your success will be visible in better operational performance, realized financial benefits and new ways of working that last.
What you will lead
- Shape the operations strategy. Build the fact base, assess strategic options and bring clear recommendations on priorities, investments and trade-offs.
- Design the target operating model. Define how processes, the logistics network, organization, decision rights, data and systems should work together, including opportunities for automation and AI.
- Own the transformation roadmap. Set outcomes, owners and milestones across countries and functions, manage dependencies and adjust priorities when circumstances change.
- Lead critical programs personally. Take complex, underdefined challenges, structure the problem, design the solution and lead cross-functional teams through implementation.
- Deliver measurable value. Build robust business cases with Finance and ensure benefits translate into lower operating costs, improved working capital and stronger customer service.
- Make change stick. Secure adoption across markets and sites, establish effective governance and hold senior stakeholders accountable through credibility, influence and constructive challenge.
What you bring
You combine conceptual depth with operational judgement. You can see the whole system, identify the choices that matter and explain them clearly. You are equally comfortable discussing a strategic investment with the Executive Board and exploring an operational problem with a local team.
We are looking for:
- A master’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business or a related discipline.
- Strong strategic and conceptual capabilities, demonstrated through a strategy, operating model or network design you personally developed and helped implement.
- A track record of leading complex transformations across multiple countries, from initial design through execution and sustained adoption.
- Evidence of value you personally delivered, supported by credible business cases and measurable financial or operational results.
- A solid understanding of end-to-end operations and supply chain, enabling you to challenge assumptions and engage senior functional leaders.
- The confidence to lead without formal line authority, build trust and make difficult trade-offs explicit.
- Professional fluency in English and willingness to travel regularly across our European markets.
Your background may include strategy consulting, corporate strategy or operations transformation. What matters is the combination: you have shaped the direction and taken responsibility for making it work in operations.
Experience with digital transformation, automation or AI-enabled process redesign is valuable, as is experience in healthcare, pharma or another regulated distribution environment.
What we offer
- A gross monthly salary of €8,000–€9,500, based on full-time employment and depending on your experience.
- A monthly mobility budget of €1,120.
- A 15% bonus opportunity.
- A senior Group role reporting directly to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, with membership of the Operations Leadership Team.
- The opportunity to shape and deliver a European transformation with direct impact on operational performance and the reliable delivery of healthcare products and services.
- A broad mandate to develop recommendations, challenge established approaches and build lasting organizational capability.
Ready to shape what comes next?
We would like to hear what you have changed: the strategic choices you shaped, the operating model you designed and the results you delivered.
Apply for the role of Head of Operations Transformation and help build the next chapter of Mediq’s European Operations.
