About the Role
We are seeking a driven Senior Bid Manager to join our Commercial Operations team in the Nordics region. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and leading tender activities, driving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring the timely and successful submission of tender bids ensuring high win rate. You will lead tenders during the entire process from shaping phase to the implementation and play a key role in achieving strategic goals, enhancing margin optimization, and ensuring the success of our tender submissions across the Nordics.
Key Responsibilities - What are you going to do?
- Lead the entire tender bid process for larger-medium-sized tenders to ensure preparation, quality of analysis and a submission of tender bid on time with high quality.
- Analyze tender decision documents (tender evaluation) and the development of an implementation plan.
- Coordinator cross-functional stakeholders throughout tender process, including sales, sourcing, product management and finance.
- Analyze tender evaluation model and pricing structure from customer tender documents.
- Ensure gathering of necessary input data, both from competitor analysis and from internal stakeholders, needed to support formulation of tender pricing strategy and business case.
- Lead development of overall bid strategy and underlying business cases supporting tender bids.
- Ensure necessary analytical decision-making support to inform tender strategy and business case, including tender pricing analysis, contracts profitability optimization, market, and competitor’s analysis as well as other ad-hoc analysis.
- Check commercial documents and supervise product documents to ensure error free tender submission within deadline.
- Lead post-bid win/loss analysis to glean insights for improving future tender submissions.
- Monitor volumes, price realizations, and overall profitability for existing contracts.
- Monitor upcoming price negotiations windows for existing contracts and lead effort to ensure timely preparation of necessary materials.
- Provide an overview of contract performance, in cooperation with Finance, including preparation of statistics and reports.
- Identify contract deviation actuals vs. business case, as well as contract optimization possibilities.
Qualifications and Skills - What is your background?
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in pricing, finance, or a closely related field, preferably in an industry that operates on a tender-based selling model.
- Experience in managing tender pricing and contract negotiations is crucial.
- Ability to assess, amend and negotiate contract terms and conditions.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced usage of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluent in Swedish and English – both in writing and speaking.
